When I turned it on for the first time about a week ago the Kickstart screen appeared with the floppy animation and the floppy drive making the "clack" sound meaning that it was seeking for a floppy disk. It did not have a hard drive, but all Amiga 600 have an IDE port, and you can use a Compact Flash card with a CF-IDE adapter as a hard drive. Not only has a new magazine recently emerged (Amiga Addict), but Commodore's machine has resurfaced in various guises over the years. Eventually, I retr0bright ’em if there is a need to do it. This was a software (floppy disk) update only and no Kickstart 2. Refurbished amiga 600 Amiga 600 accelerator board that breaks speed records.
